The Inspiration Behind the Name
Gilded Mark Jewelry is inspired by my husband, Christian Mark, and his late father, Mark. To me, jewelry is one of the most beautiful ways to mark life’s most meaningful moments, including engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, or even everyday accomplishments that deserve meaningful celebration. This idea I’ve been carrying goes back 8 years to our wedding
The word gilded reflects my love for the warmth and richness of gold, as well as my admiration for the elegance of the Gilded Age. There’s something about that era — the romance and attention to detail — that feels like magic. At our wedding, we decorated the tables with gilded birdcages filled with roses and flickering candlelight. I still remember how the gold shimmered against the soft glow of the room. That image perfectly captured the feeling I want every Gilded Mark piece to hold: warm, timeless, and full of meaning.
